MFR and Acupuncture

At Taylor Pilates and Fitness, we offer wellness services to complement our clients' movement experience.

Our wellness providers are exceptionally skilled and committed to your health.

Andrew Kerr, PT & Myofascial Release (MFR)

Andrew has been a Physical Therapist for over 35 years and specializes in soft tissue work, myofascial release, and manual therapy. His goal is to treat the whole body and to find the methods that work best for each individual in order to facilitate healing. With his customized approach to physical therapy, Andrew focuses on appropriate muscle activation, increasing stability, and turning positive changes into permanent movement patterns. Andrew has been fortunate to take courses from John Barnes, who pioneered the field of myofascial release (MFR), and to bring that subtle yet profound bodywork to his patients. After decades of experience in a variety of settings including trauma care in hospitals, long-term rehab facilities, outpatient care clinics, and home care, Andrew looks forward to having the time and space to utilize his physical therapy and MFR skills at Taylor Pilates and Fitness.

When Andrew is not at the studio you will find him hiking, snowshoeing, bicycling, camping, backpacking, exploring, gardening, and spending time on Colorado's western slope.

Michael Mathews, Acupuncture

Michael uses acupuncture to help his patients achieve a healthier, happier, more balanced body. Having evolved over thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the oldest continuously practiced modalities in the world. Acupuncture is used to prevent and treat allergies, relieve pain, balance mood, enhance athletic performance, increase fertility, and improve overall wellness. In addition to acupuncture, Michael incorporates cupping, e-stim, gua sha, and auricular (ear) therapy into his sessions to create change and restore health.

When Michael is not at the studio you will find him with family and friends, road and mountain biking, skiing, and riding his longboard.

Appointments are $90 for 50 minutes.

Please wear loose fitting shorts and a t-shirt to your appointment.
