The Taylor Pilates and Fitness Difference: Why Personalized Movement Matters More Than Ever

Back

Pilates is growing — and fast.

From franchise studios appearing on every corner to gyms packing 20 reformers into a single class, Pilates has become more accessible than ever. On the surface, that sounds like a great thing.

But as the industry expands, one important question deserves more attention:

Are clients getting individualized movement training designed for their bodies, goals, and safety?

At Taylor Pilates and Fitness, we believe this matters.

Expertise That Goes Beyond the Workout

Not all Pilates instruction is created equal.

Our team brings together extensive knowledge in Pilates, anatomy, functional training, mobility, and body mechanics — with instructors who have more than a decade of teaching experience and an ongoing commitment to learning.

Why does that matter?

Because bodies are complex. What works for one person may not work for another. Effective movement training requires understanding how to adjust, modify, challenge, and support clients at every stage of their journey.

Our Pilates instructors don’t stop learning once they’re certified.

They continue expanding their knowledge to better support client health, comfort, and performance:

  • Michael deepened his understanding of the body by becoming an acupuncturist, using acupuncture to support comfort, wellness, and recovery.
  • Rachel is trained in blading techniques to promote circulation and reduce inflammation, as well as taping methods that support lymphatic drainage and improve proprioception — the body’s awareness of its position in space.
  • Ashley regularly pursues continuing education, with recent studies focused on shoulder health, training women through all phases of life, and optimizing core and glute strength for function and performance.

We stay curious because learning allows us to serve our clients better.

Quality Movement Over One-Size-Fits-All Classes

In larger fitness settings, individualized attention can be difficult to deliver.

At Taylor Pilates and Fitness, we take a different approach.

We prioritize:

  • Proper equipment use and safety
  • Movement quality over repetition
  • Regressions and progressions tailored to the individual
  • Programming built around your goals, needs, and abilities
  • Attention to comfort, mobility, strength, and long-term function

Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing chronic tightness, building strength, improving balance, or simply wanting to move and feel better, your experience should reflect your body — not a generic class format.

Support That Extends Beyond Pilates

Movement health doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

That’s why we offer additional services that complement your training experience.

Andrew, who is also a physical therapist, provides myofascial release sessions to support tissue health, improve comfort, and help clients move more freely.

This whole-body approach allows us to look beyond exercises alone and consider the many factors that influence how you feel and function.

Options Designed Around Real Life

We know every client’s schedule, goals, and comfort level are different.

That’s why we offer multiple ways to work with us:
